Album: Cherry Blossom Festival... in the Rain

April 14 was the only day I could make it to the Cherry Blossom Festival, and it was raining. Rather than let the rain dissuade me, I decided the gloom might provide a good opportunity to catch some unusually somber cherry-blossom moods.

All photos were shot in Hipstamatic (Classic), with no editing.

Lovely images! I have lived on the East Coast for 28 years and never made it down to the Cherry Blossom Festival once!

Thank you, RoseCat! I live just a train ride away and have only been to the Cherry Blossom Festival a few times. This year, I thought it would be fun to shoot the peak bloom. Maybe next year, I'll catch the blossoms at night... or during decay. ;)
