I wondered that too! Couldn't find anyone to ask except the lady that opened up the door and talked to the cat! and she was on the other side of the glass too! So I'm thinking he was probably to tame to be placed in a zoo type setting. He desperately wanted to play. Kept pawing at the glass like a cat would do when they want outside. He had himself a nice layer (sp?) though, but it breaks my heart that he was inside on concrete even though they made it pretty with a pool.

STUNNING images of a magnificent animal! :inlove:

...but, no outside space for him? :'(

I have a love/hate relationship with zoos, etc.

Me too. I had a hard time with this one seeing that he was all inclosed. I had read a review online that had warned of it so was prepared. I wanted to go to the zoo, which was the original plan but the heat nixed that. I haven't been to the Houston zoo in over ten years, so cant remember much about it. LOVE The St Louis Zoo though.
