What does the weekend mean to an iphoneographer? Bargains in the App Store of course!

If you’re just getting started in this amazing art form don’t miss the brand new Weekend Bargains: Essential Apps for Starters list elsewhere in this forum!

    Bargain Bin

PhotoToaster – 69p -> was £1.49. Feature-rich photo editor and favourite of many MobiToggers.

PicturePalette – FREE -> was 69p. Create colour palettes from your images.
iSupr8 – FREE -> was £1.49. If you never experienced the glory days of Super 8 filming here’s a video recreation for your idevice.
ActionShot – FREE -> was 69p. Formerly known as Nabit, this app freezes a course of action in a single image. Very effective.
Simply B&W – FREE -> was 69p. Simply brilliant!
iLightningCam – FREE -> was 69p. When lightning strikes this app catches it, photographically speaking.
    CinePro – 69p -> was £1.49. Video app with pro-level features.
XL Camera – Universal – FREE -> was 69p. High quality low-light camera app well worth a download.

    New & Notable
Facebook Camera – FREE. A curious entry into the sharing photo app arena from the mighty FB, especially as they only recently bought Instagram. Usual filters n’ fx package but with the advantage of upload straight into your FB account.
LAB Photo HD – FREE. iPad version of an excellent colour manipulation tool.
Photo Slice – FREE -> was 69p. Slice, dice and add stickers to your photo collages, which can also be saved as templates.
InstantFrame – 69p. More frames & fx. Some nice-looking ones.
effectly – 69p. Shoot, share, simple!

    Rick's Picks!
My personal selection of the weird and the wonderful - apps that might have fallen through the cracks of the App Store's dusty shelves. Most are not tested or personally recommended. Download at your own risk!
ExcelPhotos – FREE -> was £1.49. Unique image organiser that shares info with spreadsheet software.
TtV Camera – 69p -> was £1.99. Look through the viewfinders of some old film camers with this interesting camera app.
AppliFX – 69p -> was £1.49. Revamped filter n’ fx package with unlimited cominations and full-res saving.
Primasnap – FREE -> was £1.49. HDR? No, TDR (True Dynamic Range). What’s the difference? Beats me, chum.

All prices are based on the UK App Store and are correct as of posting. Check your local App Store for prices and availability in your area. Other bargains are available.

Catherine, do you have an iPad? If you look in the iPad app store it shows up under iPad apps and is free. The iPhone version says $.99 for me, too.

FYI, read the comments on the current and previous versions of XL Camera before you buy - they're pretty universally critical of the app (i.e., that it doesn't really provide any low-light improvement over the native video camera).

Not my experience. I haven't used it for video but the stills come out pretty well.

That's good to hear. Still, buyer beware - I was surprised by the vitriol in post after post. It may be that the most recent version correct any earlier sins. Will give it a try based on your recommendation.
