Olloclip....

    I'm tempted by an Olloclip for my iPhone4

    How good, is it worth it.... and are there any other options I should consider - obviously bearing in mind the Ollie is now in relatively budget cost realms nowadays?

    I love my Olloclip, and think it's design is brilliant.

    Regarding the macro lens, there's a bit of a learning curve - need a steady hand, no wind, ability to be a contortionist a big plus - but you can get some amazing results.

    I know there's other options out there besides the Olloclip (AlyZen has lots of good ideas/info!).

    I think the peeps who make the Olloclip should consider a flexible joint, so it will fit the iPhone 4, 4s and now the 5? I hear the 5 is much thinner, so that's going to be a problem.

    I've just bought one off eBay so waiting for it to arrive. I'm really interested to see what it can do!

    Hopefully it can improve on some of the images I try to take!

    I just got the Olloclip and am gradually getting better at focusing, trying to be steady, etc. I have taken lots of shots that immediately hit the trash. The hardest thing for me is getting the case off of my iPhone so I can clip it on!

    Excellent choice as Matt has said and a stupendously flexible piece of iPhone accessorising... :D

    I was going to say, if you are keeping the iPhone 4, or upgrading to a 4S my Olloclip is likely to be wanting a new home when the iP5 arrives - but I'm clearly too late... :rog:

    Still no decision here on upgrade. Interestingly I can see lots of Olloclips coming up on eBay anytime soon. :D

    I'm still hoping the camera hole is in the same place on the 5 - if so it'll hopefully be possible to just add and appropriately sized bit of padding to hold the olloclip on the phone. If not, i'm in that rare situation where it doesn't matter so much, as I'll be keeping the 4S for testing.
