Mobile Photography Awards 2011

Hey all,

A headsup - this years international Mobile Photography Awards close for submissions by the end of the month (Nov 30th). We would absolutely LOVE a Mobitog.com member to win - so get submitting! They have some huge sponsors and fantastic prizes.

The Mobile Photography Awards do charge for entry, but your work will get fairly large exposure at three city galleries. Could well be worth submitting your favourite shots from your year of pictures:

I don't mainly because I forget to do it. Could be a huge mistake on my part! Must remember to do that in the future.

I didn't add one to mine - the judges are supposed to pass judgement 'blind' as some of you will know them. Plus, as they are being used in a gallery (presumably separately credited) I bet they will ask for them to be removed.

It is a good question though Veev's and I will contact them about it so they can add to the FAQ's.

Oops.. I didn't add a signature either. I suppose if one were to get in you could add a signature and email another copy.

It sucks because I entered in the beginning and I have newer pieces I like better. But I already entered (don't laugh!!) 11 pieces!! You can enter either 3 or 5 pieces at a time.

So I got all excited in the beginning and entered 5. Then a bit later I added 3 more. Then I did some new stuff and added 3 MORE!! $90 later I said this is ridiculous, I need to stop.

I wish you could replace images you entered as long as you did it by the deadline... But I may just be obsessing over it all. LOL.

Good point! We wouldn't use our names as its blind. Although the judges are all on the different sites, i.e. Flickr, IG, etc. and have probably seen lots of the entries, so I wonder how blind it can really be?

I was struggling too, which is why there's 11!!! LMAO!! I should have waited until now and submitted just 5. I can't remember if I had done any of my geese yet so they may not be in at all. I would have put one of my bees in... Oh well! I guess it's true that haste makes waste.

p.s. I went back to look & I did submit a goose. Guess maybe I'd switch out my selfie for another if I had my druthers... (did I just say DRUTHERS?!? My Grandma used that word) -- but I will "release" and "wait". LOL.

I have no idea... LMAO!!!! I think the phrase means "If I had my way..."

If it makes you feel better I submitted 8; 2 of which are featured in the slide show on the website. Even if none of mine are winners, at least, I've had my moment in the sun!

That would be my guess because you should be able to see the photos you submitted. I defer, however, to those with more computer knowledge than I!
