This is such a warm, evocative image Bob! I really appreciate its nuances. :)

Thanks, Robert. I was really trying for that warm and friendly "painted on a wood fence 100 years ago" look, to offset the somewhat surreal message in the upper half of the image.

I've always loved that Hepburn quote, and have been searching for the opportunity to use it. I captured a shot of a girl in flaming red pants and red gloves coming toward me three months ago, and the back of this man in a suit the other day, and suddenly thought - let's grab that shot of the ventilation in a Starbucks and the tall marble cat I saw in an entry way in Santa Monica during the LA-MAF and see if I can make a story out of this. The I must have gone through about twenty layers of different textures with different blend modes (sometimes deliberately opposing modes) to make it look like it had been painted on a board. Of course, after all that processing you can't see that she's wearing red gloves. And it probably doesn't really matter to the scene anyway, I guess.

Aha! I knew that "man head" looked familiar! I took a shot of one of those in my Starbucks too. LOL. And if you wanted the pop of red you could always paint it on using ProCreate... :sneaky:

That's a great idea, Catherine! (I didn't know what I'd use it for, but I thought I would find a use for that Starbucks vent.)
