    Dear Robert, Thanks for posting.
For everyone who's interested. The action is open for another ~4 hours.
(I got some really nice feedbacks during this free period and was very happy about this)
If anyone creates interesting pictures with iOrnament please feel free to send them to me
(for instance to richter@ma.tum.de) if I collected enough interesting pictures I would like
to make a kind of exhibition of Facebook/iOrnament or science-to-touch.com.
Actually I think it would be really great to see whether there are cultural differences in Ornament esthetics.

    Sorry Dannywu,

I closed the action this morning. However I have still a few promo codes left that will

    Dear Mobitog community,

yesterday a user send me really beautiful pictures created with iOrnament (see below).
I must admit that I was always curious how ornaments would look like that are
created by other users than me, and that I was really happy about this e-mail.

Searching for a framework for this nice work I thought that it might be a good idea
to have some kind of User Galleries on http://facebook.com/iOrnament. I think it is
a good idea to have this moderated in some way and I think at least for now it might be
the best way if I preselect what should be shown (ok that's kind of autocratic and brings me
perhaps in a difficult position, so I am open to better ideas). So if you created
ornaments or rosettes that you think are awesome and should be shared with the rest of the world
it would be great if you send them to me via e-mail (richter@ma.tum.de). If you created many
ornaments it is perhaps good to send small (say 300 x 300) screenshots of them and I will provide
a downloadplace for this (I guess I have to upgrade my dropbox). Names of the artist can but must not necessarily
be included on the facebook page (If you do not want your name to appear provide a nickname). It would
be great to have at least the nationality, so this could be a first step to an ornament world exhibit.

    Two questions:

    1. Do you think this might be a good idea?
    2. Any other suggestions on this topic?

sorry for the terribly long post.
    cu

    Jürgen

    Dear Mobitog Community,
this post is essentially to announce three different iOrnament (my iPad/iPhone app for ornamental design) related things.

    1. iOrnament opened (as public beta) an "Ornament World Exhibition". This is a collection of designs
created by iOrnament users and submitted directly through the app. The exhibition is accessible
under http://www.science-to-touch.com/owe.html . Many ornaments are also directly posted on iOrnaments
facebook page http://facebook.com/iOrnament . In the meantime there are roughly 600 submissions.
some of them are really spectacular. On the project homepage they are accessible trough a interactive JavaScript
based viewer (there you can see roughly 300 ornaments).

All creativity/artistically interested people are heartily invited to participate and send submission to the ornament
world exhibition. (I must say that it is really fascinating to see how the different cultural and personal
aspects shine through the ornament creations, It would be great to have submissions from really many
    different places in the word).

    2. To make participation a bit easier there will be a "Free for two days" offer on the following weekend
(Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th). During these days iOrnament will be available for free in the Apple App store.
Good time to fetch it or share it with friends.

    3. iOrnament got nominated to be a Top 10 finalist in the "Best App Ever Awards 2012"
in the categorie "Best Generative Art App". If you like iOrnament and want to support it
    you can vote under http://www.bestappever.com/v/gena/1/534529876

So far now and best regards from Munich
