Hey all,

I've seen a few pics around that have grid overlays (nice lines embedded into the photo) but I can't figure out which app does it - anyone know of an app? I know Photoforge2 has the Television effect but I'm wanting thinner lines and more customisation...

iColorama, and there's also the possibility to be ScratchCam there's a few textures with lines on it. Or if you prefer get a texture with lines and blend it.
Hope I've help you.

I have a blending app called interlacer ,this has lines which you can vary ! not a fantastic app ,but good for adding some texture ! have used it conjunction with blends on photowizard :D

Thanks guys for getting back to me, not sure what I want is really a texture thing.

iColorama - if you think you could it'd be amazing. I've made a couple of examples (in Photoshop eek!), basically it's just a pattern placed over top of the image and used Overlay to blend it together with the image. I know I could possibly do it with Photoforge2 but actually putting a pattern in isn't so easy... so, you reckon this is something you could do ;) If you need any more info let me know :)

Great, thanks!!! number 2 is very similar to something that you can do now in my app already but you can't change the lines width..both effects are quite simply to implement and I could add them quickly.

if I understand right you want to change the space between lines and the width of the lines + overlay blend them. You probably want also to change the color (?)

It takes 6 days to pass apple review so you can play with others while next version comes)) But i will definitively add these lines effects and maybe other line types..something I missed that and is very simple to add!. If u want to try iColorama as today email me for a promo code:)))

I appreciate any request for effects, not matter how complicated is..if I can implement it I add it)

Awesome stuff Teresa! :)

It'd be great to have customisable line width, space and transparency and also have the square with the same options :) And yeah the overlay blending option just makes it quite a nice effect. Not sure about changing color, if it's easy enough then I suppose it wouldn't be a bad idea but I've always just used black...

Thank you so much for the offer, will PM you now (can't find an email) :)

Allan iColorama as a feature similar to that effect. About Blending I will suggest Blender and Juxtaposer, not Photoforge2 for blending.

I've got that one and it's got grid overlays but only with other effects, you can't have the gridlines by themselves :(

Similar but not quite, but hopefully Teresa can implement it for me :D I did notice my battery got drained really quickly when using iColorama, I assume that's not normal???

Not really..all processes are idle when u don't do anything...but if you keep applying a lot of effects ..well.. I will check..
Your lines are comming 100% sure in next version)

Is not service, I love making effects). I will work later on the rectangles version...
You will able to change space, width, blur transition, color, vertical/horizontal....and as with the rest of the effects: opacity (intensity), masks...
I plan to add these to the Sunday iPhone version, so u will get them about next Saturday...maybe also @ the iPad if I sucess with some HDR stuff and other things...

Ooooh how exciting feel free to make as many overlay effects as you like!! Some opaque florals and trees would be awesome Lol!!

I am loving icolourama but something that is irking me just a tad is the effect sliders are a bit jittery and tend to jump slightly off the setting point when I take my finger off do you have any tips for keeping the slider in the spot I want?
Thanks Mel

Yes it is very annoying specially, with the second Escher!! I will see what I can do, I use the Apple slider out of the box but modified a little so it is able to feel your finger in all the region - maybe that is the cause. I will investigate it!
Thanks for remind me!

By the way, your pics at Flickr are simply amazing!!:inlove:
