Filter Free Friday (3/8/2012)

It's thursday lunchtime again already, which means that somewhere out in the pacific a calendar just flipped over from Thursday to Friday, and people are getting ready to remove all of their stuff and get nekkid.

So, no filters. No editing (except cropping and rotating). No fancy effects, colour tweaks, "film modes" or any of the rest - get back to the core and give you basic photography skills a good workout!

Let's have a bit more feedback this week too. If you see something wrong in a shot, or something that could be done better, tell us about it

Rules in brief: post up to 3 photos you've taken at any point in the last week. They have to be shown in their original unfiltered, unprocessed, naked glory. You can crop + rotate though.

Rules:

1: Take photos at any time during the week, post them up on friday*.

2: Post 3 photos max please! Pick your best or the ones you want feedback on.

3: Use any app you want, but turn the filters off**.

4: The winner will be picked on Saturday by counting likes.

5. Use the Like button as your vote. Like only the pictures you think are really good!

6. If you don't like a picture give constructive feedback - tell the author why, and how it could be improved. Positive feedback is good, but keep it polite!

* Friday lasts while it's friday somewhere in the world. You have roughly 48 hours from the time this was posted! (And this week it's extended to saturday!)

** You can crop and rotate or add a frame, but don't touch that filter button. Not even auto-enhance! No sharpening, adding vignette etc. 645pro's film modes are filters too. Double tap the mode (film choice) button, and both buttons should disappear giving you a filter-free image (if this doesn't work check you have the latest version).

Yep, in fact it's better if you split it into 1 post per shot. Sometimes people post 2 or 3 in one go, and then I might hate one but love the other, but there's only the 'like' button. I did try putting "1 pic per post" in the rules once, but it got widely ignored

They must know me...I can get quite close and they don't move !

We seem to get toads in our garden (not sure why, there's no pond at all). They let me get very close too - although not close enough for a macro (I'll keep trying!). Unfortunately they let the cats get close too, and the cats find them crunchy

I didn't use Macro this it's 645 really close...
