    We found him on a beach looking a bit sorry for himself, and debated whether to cook or rescue. He got rescued in the end.

    Define 'rescue, though, assume you mean putting it back in the sea and not taking home in a cardboard box full of cotton wool?... :rog:

    We gave him a no-expense-spared cardboard box with a nice soft blanket in it, and a saucer of bread and milk. He didn't seem to like it though, so we chucked the ungrateful sod in the sea in the end.

    Thats a huge crab ! Crickey that would give you a nasty nip ! My husband once got one half that size attached to his thumb it's pincers gave him a piercing lol ! We have it on film in the family album lol ! I reckon ur baby could take a finger off lol ! Nice pics and a great find !
